Hi, I’m K, the owner of this domain and aspiring ‘artist’ here at the Retro Love ART collective. Let’s dive into learning about the purpose and a bit about me.

What exactly is Retro Love.ART?

The vision is to be a collective of artistic journeys, including mine. Back in the early 2000s, blogging was the ‘in thing’ for the sake of just learning web design and sharing with the world outside of the area you are physically located in. It was a community filled with kindness, sharing,  inspiration, and most importantly, authentic to each owner. It’s my goal to re-create a place for that, for authentic realness in our current world. Not one that is filled with hidden motives behind every article, blog, and social media posts that reek of fakeness and greed. So I’m bring things back to the basics rooted in authenticity and kindness. Above all, it’s a passion project and hobby, a small part of my story you can follow along, if you choose.

Who is K? And why the one letter?

Firstly, let’s address the using of a single letter for identification… and it’s rather simple – the internet and the world is a scary place so I choose to simplify things and use a single letter for representation of various characters in my life. I feel privacy is important still, even in this ‘influencer’ and social media culture.

Now on to the harder part, who am I? Just another human in this world making my way through honestly. I’m a wife, mother, full-time employee who has embraced getting back to our roots, in a way that I can during this season of life. I’ve always believed that we can learn how to do most things, if given the resources paired with determination. With that, I’ve decided to slowly learn handcrafts and things catch my interests while having a place to share that specific journey. And so, here we are, loving the influence and lifestyles of the yesteryears.
